My treasured Auntie Annette, who, despite being desperately ill herself, gave me and my children so much help and support. In September 2000 I had to go into hospital for major brain surgery to repair brain aneurysms. Annette was going into hospital a week later to have 3 brain tumours removed. Although we were both having major surgery, Annette was far more ill and at risk than I felt I was. Yet still she travelled to Coventry and took 3 of my children back to Bristol, where she took wonderful care of them during my hospital stay. Sadly I was still too ill to visit her in hospital the following week, and although we did have phone contact regularly in the following weeks, we never met up again. Annette didn't really recover from her surgery, and we were told that she would not be around very much longer. I never got to say goodbye or thankyou.
Auntie Annette wasn't just a hero to me, but to all who knew her. She fought off the cancer countless times during the 15years since she had been diagnosed. Many times we were warned to expect the worst, but she always came through it and made it into remission each time, only for it to knock her back again a couple of years later.

Annette was such an inspiration to us all and I love her so much it hurts

Thinking of you always

I miss you so much. I don't feel I have closure as I didn't have chance to come to your funeral.
I even went to Bristol a few weeks ago to see if that would help. I went to your old house and stood outside it, then walked upto the suspension bridge like we used to then walked back to the house again. But it didn't help its just made it worse. Oh dear I'm sitting here crying now. You were such an amazing person and I will never forget you.
Love always

I was just wondering how you would handle my life if u were me, or what you would say if u were here. Straight away I thought "clear the table, give the crystal room - let the amethyst breathe." But if u were here with me I dnt think you would say that. But it duz kinda make sense. The table is right in front of me it is actually the perfect place to start, for all the right reasons.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Annette I miss you so much, we all do. I wish we hadn't made that last promise to each other. you passed away and I didn't, so you kept your side of the promise, as agreed. I knew you would, but i really wish I had asked you to show me in a different way. I love and miss you every day. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
